Around the country, citizens frustrated and furious about a president who acts like a king are taking action. This Saturday, Oct. 18, the No Kings rallies need you! It’ll be the second set of massive gatherings around the country to object to a president who tramples on the Constitution, disenfranchises immigrants, cuts US aid to hungry folks around the world, etc.
PeaceWorks KC, a member of Indivisible Kansas City, will join the rally Indivisible is sponsoring at 2pm on the Plaza at Mill Creek Park. Come join us! Bring a sign for deposing a dictator; bring a smile for all who believe each vote should count.
“Fight for democracy!” says Ann Suellentrop. “We’re all in this together!”
Find Ann tabling for PeaceWorks at the Mill Creek Park rally. She’s the vice chair of PeaceWorks, eager to rebuild our country.
Another local rally will be outside on the Johnson County Community College campus, on College Boulevard in Overland Park, KS, 1-2:30 pm. That gathering, which features several speakers, is being convened by Boots on the Ground Midwest, an Indivisible group in Kansas.
